Viddhakarma-treatment

The Ayurvedic Sushrut Samhita describes the parasurgical process called Viddhakarma. The best pain management method yet described is this one. Both illness treatment and immediate pain management employ it. In India, only few doctors are knowledgeable in proper Viddhakarma techniques. A pioneer was Sir R B GOGATE. Dr. Chandrakumar Deshmukh is now disseminating his expertise over the globe. The father of surgery is known as Acharya Sushruta. All Ayurvedic scientists have long studied it, and western nations have done the same over the past two centuries as they have appreciated the accomplishments of the surgeons of ancient India. Ashtaviddha Shastra karma is stated by Sushruta Acharya in the Sushrut Samhita (eight types of surgical procedures).

  • Chedana (excision)
  • Bhedana (incision)
  • Lekhana (scraping)
  • Vedhana (puncturing)
  • Eshana (probing)
    Aharana (extraction)
  • Visravana (draining)
  • Seevana (suturing)

Vedhana and Visravana karma are two distinct surgical techniques among these eight basic categories. Sanskrit words “Viddha” or “Vedhana” imply “to pierce or enter anything,” whereas “Visravana” implies “draining.”

Chinese acupuncture vs. Ayurveda Viddha Karma: In Viddha Karma, a needle with a bevel or hole is utilised to expel vitiated dosha, whereas in acupuncture, the needle lacks a bevel or hole
